Abstract

This paper has a theoretical and empirical character. It presents an analysis of selected individual and organizational conditions involved in negotiating i-deals, intended to design idiosyncratic employment arrangements. In the first group of factors, issues such as the role of gender, age, professional experience, salary level and attitude to work were examined. The second group consisted of such factors as the respondents' place in the organizational hierarchy, the size of the company and the business sector. The study found that the use of i-deals is particularly linked to such factors as a higher salary level, a meritocratic attitude to work, a higher organizational position as well as the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises.
